Emmanuel Shine
DR Congolese Power forward Emmanuel Shine (199-F/C-1994) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Tshwane S., receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team NC Zebras (#6, 0-2) with 53-point margin 98-45. Tshwane S. maintains the 2nd position in their group in South African BNL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Tshwane S. won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Shine has many years of experience at Tshwane S., through which he has constantly improved. Emmanuel Shine has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.5ppg), rebounds (4th best: 13.5rpg), assists (8th best: 3.0apg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 60.6% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was Misheck Makayi (SF) of league's leader S.Panthers. Makayi had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led S.Panthers to another comfortable win outscoring NC Zebras (#6, 0-2) 83-63. Of course S.Panthers still keep Group A's top spot. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Makayi is a newcomer at S.Panthers, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#4). He also registered 12.0 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was Zimbabwean forward Thomas Rutsito (202-F/C-1997) of NC Zebras (#6). Rutsito scored 14 points and grabbed twenty one rebounds (!!!). Despite Rutsito's great performance NC Zebras lost 63-83 to the league's current leader S.Panthers (#1, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. NC Zebras can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group A. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Rutsito has individually a great season in South Africa. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 19.0rpg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
